Novoroslesexport has voluntarily compensated the environmental damage caused by the oil spill in the Black Sea in the amount of more than 14 million rubles. This was reported by Rosprirodnadzor.

The incident occurred in the Black Sea at berth No. 30 in the port of Novorossiysk. The oil spill occurred during the bunkering of the Panamanian-flagged foreign vessel Honrise.

The service found contamination of the water area on an area of more than 35 thousand square meters. m. The cause of the spill was the failure of the ship's equipment and insufficient control by the crew.
