AK&M 16 November 2021 16:21

The organizer is the AK&M News Agency. The official partner of the project is Horizon CF LLC.

Over the past few years, non-financial reporting (sustainability reporting, ESG reporting) has become one of the elements of information disclosure by public companies worldwide. In Russia, non-financial reporting is still disclosed by more than 100 public joint-stock companies. In Europe, the objects of the current EU Directive on the disclosure of non-financial information are about 11 thousand companies, and soon their number will increase to 50 thousand.

At the next stage, a smooth transition will be made from voluntary disclosure of non-financial information to mandatory disclosure. The European Commission has already proposed to provide reporting in accordance with mandatory EU standards in the field of sustainable development. It is expected that the first relevant package of documents will be adopted by October 2022. In Russia, regulators are also discussing the transition to a mandatory system of disclosure of non-financial information.

Within the framework of the conference "ESG Reporting", participants, in particular, will discuss:

•          How exactly will Russia implement plans to integrate certain provisions of international standards for disclosure of non-financial information into the Russian regulatory framework?

•          How will the system of international non-financial reporting standards change in terms of unification and transition to a single format? Will Russia take part in their development?

•          Which approaches to the verification of non-financial reporting will be the most effective?

During the practical sessions, leading experts, providers of non-financial reporting standards will present the basic rules and features of the preparation of documents, tell what work should be carried out by the organization on an ongoing basis to ensure contribution to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), answer questions from conference participants.

The plenary discussion will be attended by:

Konstantin Anatolyevich Tsyganov, First Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation;
