Otkritie Bank paid RUB 3.9 billion in compensation to Bank Neyva depositors

Otkritie Bank has paid 70% of the total amount of compensation payable to the depositors of Bank Neyva. The total amount transferred to them exceeded RUB 3.9 billion, accounting for two-thirds of the total amount payable in compensation to the delicensed bank's customers. Bank Neyva'c customers preferred transferring almost half of the total amount of deposits to Otkritie Bank, the bank informed.

The amount of insurance compensation is equal to 100% of all the accounts (deposits) with the bank, including the interest awarded as of the insured event date, but no more than RUB 1.4 million per depositor in total.

Otkritie Bank is on the list of systemically important credit institutions approved by the Bank of Russia. As a universal bank, Otkritie develops all the main segments of the classic banking business: corporate, investment, retail, SME and Private Banking businesses. The bank's subsidiaries (Rosgosstrakh and Rosgosstrakh Life insurance companies, Otkritie Broker, Otkritie Asset Management, NPF Otkritie, JSC Baltic Leasing, Open Leasing LLC, Otkritie Factoring LLC, RGS Bank, JSC Customs Card) take leading positions in the key financial market segments.

RAS net profit of Otkritie Bank for 1Q21 increased more than 8 times to RUB 26 billion from RUB 3 billion in 3-month profit in 2020. In the first quarter, Otkritie Bank increased assets by RUB 70 billion (+3%) to RUB 2.7 trillion. The bank's loan portfolio before provisions increased by RUB 155 billion (+9%) to RUB 1.8 trillion for the 3-month period. Customers' deposits increased by RUB 54 billion to RUB 2 trillion (+3%) in the first quarter of 2021. As of April 1, retail customers' deposits totaled RUB 962 billion.
