Palladium trading volume on the Moscow Stock Exchange increased 10-fold in January

The volume of palladium trading on the Moscow Stock Exchange in January 2026 amounted to 464 kg. This is 10 times more than in January 2025. The metal was sold for 2.2 billion rubles, which is 15 times higher than in the same period last year, according to the exchange's website.

The volume of gold trading in January increased by 87% to 25.6 tons (306.9 billion rubles), silver – 5 times to 106.8 tons (26 billion rubles), platinum – six times to 303 kg (2.1 billion rubles).

The total trading volume on the precious metals market (spot and swap) in January amounted to 337.1 billion rubles. Almost 0.5 million transactions were completed, which is 2.5 times more year-on-year.

 The share of private investors exceeded 64% in January. The share of individuals in gold trading was 5%, silver – 62%, palladium – 52%.
