Russian airlines transported 50.8 million people in the first half of 2025. This is 0.8% less than in the same period of 2024, the Federal Air Transport Agency reported.
Passenger traffic on international routes increased by 2.2% to 12.7 million people. Domestic passenger traffic decreased by 1.7% to 38.1 million people.
Passenger turnover in the first half of the year amounted to 131.7 billion passenger kilometers. This is 0.2% higher than in the same period last year. The percentage of passenger seat occupancy increased by 0.7 percentage points to 88.6%.
The top 5 airlines in terms of the number of passengers carried remain the same: Aeroflot, Pobeda, S7 (Siberia), Rossiya and Ural Airlines. They accounted for 70.5% of all shipments.
