Passenger traffic of Russian airlines in January-August 2025 amounted to 73.7 million people. This is 2.2% less than in the same period of 2024, according to the message from the Federal Air Transport Agency.
Passenger traffic on international routes increased by 0.9% to 17.9 million people, in particular, on routes to foreign countries outside the CIS - by 7.4% to 11.4 million. Rosaviatsia does not report the volume of domestic transportation.
The percentage of passenger seat occupancy increased by 0.1 percentage points to 89.5%.
The passenger traffic of the industry leader, Aeroflot Group (in addition to the airline of the same name, it includes Pobeda and Rossiya) increased by 0.7% to 37.2 million people.
The top 5 airlines in terms of the number of passengers carried still include Aeroflot, Pobeda, S7 (Siberia), Rossiya and Ural Airlines. They accounted for 70.3% of all shipments.
