Russian Railways notes that February is traditionally a low season for mass rail transportation. This year, the overall dynamics was influenced by abnormal weather conditions in a number of regions of the country, as well as the redistribution of tourist flows.
In general, Russian Railways does not record a decrease in interest in rail transportation. Demand remains stable in a number of areas, including popular tourist routes and high-speed transport.
In the long-distance segment, passengers are beginning to plan their trips in advance for the spring and summer period, therefore, a resumption of positive traffic dynamics is expected in the coming months.
