Plenitude, a subsidiary of the Italian energy company Eni S.p.A., has launched the second unit of the Renopool photovoltaic plant with a capacity of 200 MW in Badajoz (Spain). This is reported in the Plenitude press release.
Currently, Renopool, which is the company's largest solar project in the world with a total capacity of 330 MW, is fully operational. The complex, consisting of the northern and southern power plants, was designed taking into account efficiency criteria and implemented in accordance with the two-year schedule set by the company.
In accordance with the requirements of the project permitting process, Plenitude has promoted long-term initiatives aimed at preserving biodiversity and protecting the environment, including an agreement with the Funpasos Foundation, which provides for the financing of scientific research on the territory of solar power plants.
In Spain, Plenitude has 1.8 GW renewable energy sources and implements wind and solar projects in Andalusia, Extremadura, Castile, Catalonia and other Spanish regions.
