PSB is considering the possibility of acquiring SMP-bank. The Kommersant newspaper writes about this with reference to its sources.
The parties have been discussing the deal since December 2021, and at the beginning of 2022, PSB conducted due diligence of SMP Bank, which took about two months.
PJSC Promsvyazbank is a universal Russian bank, one of the ten largest banks in the country, as well as in the list of systemically important credit institutions approved by the Central Bank. PSB is a reference bank for operations on state defense orders and state contracts. In total, the bank has about 2.5 million individuals and over 200 thousand corporate clients.
SMP Bank (TIN 7750005482) is the head bank of the group, which includes, in addition to the rehabilitated Mosoblbank, Finansbusinessbank, Inresbank, also insurance and leasing companies. The Bank has been operating in the Russian market since 2001.
