RENERA LLC (integrator of ROSATOM State Corporation in the field of electric power storage systems), BKM Holding and Rusatom Bel (Rosatom country office in Belarus) signed an agreement on strategic cooperation in the implementation of joint projects in the field of electric transport development. This is stated in the message of Rosatom.
The document is aimed at developing joint competencies and coordinating the work of participants in the implementation of projects in the countries of the Union State and abroad.
LLC "RENERA" (part of the Rosatom Fuel Company "TVEL") is an industry integrator of Rosatom in the field of energy storage systems. The company produces lithium-ion energy storage systems for emergency and uninterruptible power supplies, hybrid systems with renewable generation sources, traction batteries for electric vehicles, special equipment and other areas.
RENERA is implementing a project to build a plant for the production of lithium-ion cells and batteries in the Kaliningrad region. The plant with a total capacity of about 4 GW of manufactured devices per year will start operating in 2025.
BKM HOLDING (formerly known as Belkommunmash) is a manufacturer of ground-based urban electric transport in the CIS countries, develops, manufactures and maintains trolleybuses, trams, electric buses, electric trucks, and also produces its own charging infrastructure.
All areas of Rosatom's work in Belarus, including structuring projects in the field of energy storage systems, are implemented by the State Corporation's country office in Belarus - Rusatom Bel LLC. The office started its work in 2022.
