Rosatom Infrastructural Solutions (RIR) has increased the volume of processing at Severskaya TPP tenfold. This was announced by Rosatom.
The modernization of the equipment at the CHPP is currently being completed. The station has two boilers of a new design with compact automated bag filters. This will reduce emissions and ensure the capture of 99.6% of ash.
The first boiler unit has already been put into operation. In the process of burning coal, the boiler will generate 20 thousand tons of fly ash per year. The new ash removal system allows you to collect this product and include it in the economic turnover.
The company is consistently increasing the volume of ash and slag waste processing at Severskaya TPP. In 2023, 1.5 thousand tons of raw materials were processed, and in 2024 — 15.1 thousand tons. This year, Rosatom plans to reach the level of 20 thousand tons," said Ksenia Sukhotina, General Director of the RIR.
