Rosatom State Corporation, in accordance with previously reached agreements, has exercised an option to increase its participation in the Delo Group of Companies, Rosatom said in a statement.
After the transaction was closed, the following distribution of shares in Delo Management Company LLC, which is the parent company of the Group, was established: Chairman of the Board of Directors of Delo Group of Companies Sergey Shishkarev – 51%, part of the State Corporation Atomenergoprom JSC – 49%.
Delo Group plans to use the proceeds from the transaction to implement a number of investment projects and reduce the debt burden.
The exercise of the option is aimed at further implementation of the strategy of Rosatom State Corporation for the development of new business areas, increasing the presence of the State Corporation in the logistics industry as one of the priority areas of development in the non-nuclear segment, and is also a recognition of the effectiveness of the Delo Group's business model. Since the entry of Rosatom into the authorized capital of the Group in 2019, the successful integration of companies in the logistics sector continues, taking into account the best corporate practices. The Group's operating companies have been successfully carrying out multimodal cargo transportation to NPP facilities under construction around the world for more than two years.
By increasing its business presence in the logistics industry, Rosatom State Corporation intends to launch several projects of national importance, including the development of container and other types of transportation along the Northern Sea Transit Corridor, improving the efficiency of its own project logistics, and introducing innovative solutions in the field of transport both in the field of digital technologies and new materials.
