Rosneft has opened two new oil fields with reserves of 2.2 million tons

Orenburgneft (part of the Rosneft oil and gas production complex) has opened two new oil fields – Biktovskoye and Chertyshovoye. This is stated in the message of Rosneft.

The total initial recoverable reserves of the field in category C1 amount to more than 2.2 million tons of oil. The plans for the development of the Biktovsky and Chertyshov fields include the construction of an automated group measuring unit and about 19 km of pipelines for transporting oil to the existing facilities of the neighboring Tananyk and Rybkinsky fields.

Energy supply will be provided through the construction of 10 km of new power transmission lines and transformer substations. The use of the infrastructure of existing fields will give a synergistic effect and will reduce the development time.

Orenburgneft conducts its production activities on the territory of the Orenburg, Samara and Saratov regions. The accumulated production of the enterprise is more than 450 million tons of oil.

Net profit attributable to Rosneft shareholders under IFRS for the first half of 2021 amounted to 382 billion rubles against a loss of 113 billion rubles a year earlier. Sales revenue and income from associates and joint ventures increased by 39.6% to RUB 3.9 trillion from RUB 2.8 trillion. EBITDA amounted to more than 1 trillion rubles against 479 billion rubles.
