An oil leak occurred in the water area of the Novorossiysk seaport during loading of the T.Semahat tanker. The spill has been localized, and there is no threat of spread. This was reported by Rosprirodnadzor.
The incident occurred during cargo operations at the outrigger mooring unit No. 2 of JSC KTK-R due to the rupture of the marine connection of the floating hose.
The service's specialists have completed seawater sampling. All the circumstances of the accident and the exact amount of oil products trapped in the sea are currently being established.
