An oil slick has been discovered on the Volga. This was reported by Rosprirodnadzor.
The service received a message about the contamination of the Volga River with petroleum products in the area of the "Old Bridge" and the residential complex "Atmosphere" in Astrakhan.
Rosprirodnadzor specialists, together with Sevkasptech Directorate, conducted an inspection, took water samples and recorded contamination on an area of almost 35 thousand square meters. m.
According to the results of laboratory tests, damage to the water body was found in the amount of more than 1.1 million rubles.
The materials were sent to the Astrakhan Line Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia to identify the perpetrators and conduct a procedural check under Article 250 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Water pollution").
