The Arbitration Court of the Kamchatka Territory ordered the administration of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky city District to compensate for damage in the amount of 1.76 million rubles due to soil pollution in the water protection zone of Rakovaya Bay. This was reported by Rosprirodnadzor.
The court granted the claim of Rosprirodnadzor to the administration. In 2024, specialists conducted a survey of the site and recorded unauthorized waste disposal, as well as removal of a fertile soil layer. The administration did not reimburse the damage voluntarily. The service appealed to the court.
