Rosprirodnadzor, together with employees of the Federal State Budgetary Institution Sevkasptech Directorate, conducted a survey of the Volga River area in Astrakhan. This is stated in the message of the service.
Specialists received a message about the contamination of the water area with petroleum products. They went to the place and took samples of natural water. The area of contamination was more than 465 thousand square meters. m.
Currently, the service identifies the perpetrators and calculates the amount of environmental damage. Information about the pollution has been transferred to the FGBU "Administration of Seaports of the Caspian Sea" for liquidation work. The situation is under the control of Rosprirodnadzor.
