In support of the implementation of its own eco-initiatives, the Rosselkhoznadzor issued the "EcoCard" of the national payment card system "MIR" in March 2023. Cardholders will be able to take part in the implementation of the programs of the Ecology Fund, established by the RSHB, and contribute to the preservation of natural landscapes, reservoirs and their biodiversity. This is stated in the bank's message.

From each transaction on the card, 0.25% of the transaction amount is sent to the Ecology Fund for the implementation of environmental initiatives. At the same time, the clients' own funds are not spent, the bank transfers part of its income to support the implementation of eco-initiatives.

Environmental protection and environmental care are among the key priorities in the activities of the Rosselkhoznadzor. To this end, the Ecology Foundation was established in the fall of 2021.

In February 2023, the action plan of the Ecology Foundation was approved, which included more than 30 projects in 4 main areas: waste management, protection of water bodies and their ecosystems, environmental education of the population, protection of wildlife and their habitat with a focus on red Book animals.

One of the key projects is the release of 20 thousand sturgeon fry into the waters of Lake Baikal. Baikal sturgeon is listed in the Red Books of Russia and Mongolia. The sturgeon population has dropped to a critically low level. Currently, this fish is becoming rarer and is on the verge of extinction, and the recovery of the population is extremely slow. Other organisms and the entire fauna of Lake Baikal depend on the degradation of one species. The goal of the Ecology Foundation is to prevent the destruction of the natural wealth of the reservoir and to preserve the population of the Baikal sturgeon.

JSC "Rosselkhoznadzor" (RSHB, TIN 7725114488) was formed in March 2000 to serve agricultural enterprises. Currently, the bank is one of the ten largest banks in the country. Rosselkhoznadzor ranks second in Russia in terms of the size of its branch network. Over 1.5 thousand branches operate in all regions of the country, including more than half in small towns and rural settlements. The bank has representative offices in Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan and Armenia.
