Rostec will supply Russian Post with parcel lockers worth RUB 1.25 billion

Rostec will supply Russian Post with automated parcel lockers for contactless delivery to be installed in 37 regions of Russia. The contract was concluded as a result of competitive bidding for a total amount of RUB 1.25 billion, Rostec informed.

Under the terms of the agreement, 4,800 parcel lockers will be supplied, including 1,970 machines to be installed in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

The software installed at the stations will enable the real time monitoring and management of the parcel lockers, data archiving, and display of information in the mobile app.

Rostec is a Russian corporation established in 2007 to promote the development, production and export of hi-tech industrial products for civil and military purposes. It consists of more than 700 organizations untied in 11 holding companies specializing in the defense industry, 4 holding companies in the civil industrial segment, along with more than 80 directly managed entities. Rostec's portfolio includes famous brands such as AVTOVAZ, KAMAZ, Concern Kalashnikov, Russian Helicopters, VSMPO-AVISMA, Uralvagonzavod, etc. Rostec's organizations are located in 60 federal subjects of Russia and supply their products to the markets of more than 100 countries.

Russian Post is the federal mail operator being one of Russia's strategic enterprises. The company has about 42,000 post offices and approximately 350,000 postal workers, one of the biggest workforces in Russia.
