RT-Invest Waste Energy Management Plant has confirmed the status of a renewable energy facility

The RT-Invest energy waste disposal plant (part of Rostec) has passed the mandatory qualification and confirmed the status of the facility, which operates on the basis of renewable energy sources (RES). This is stated in the company's message.

The share of municipal waste used in the process of electricity generation was 98.4%, with the required 80%. The share of gas use was 1.6%. Thus, the company confirmed the status of a "green power plant".

Since its commissioning in 2024, the plant has generated more than 180 million kWh, processing almost 350 thousand tons of municipal waste. The project was implemented by AGK-1. Every year, the green power plant can process 700 thousand tons of waste per year, supplying 520 million kWh of energy per year.

RT-Invest JSC was established in 2012 with the participation of Rostec State Corporation to make direct investments in the Russian Federation and abroad in the sectors of advanced industrial technologies. The key focus of RT-Invest is the creation of a comprehensive municipal solid waste management system in Russia.

Rostec State Corporation is a Russian engineering company. It unites over 800 scientific and industrial organizations in 60 regions of the country. Rostec's revenue in 2023 increased by 34% to 2.84 trillion rubles. Net profit increased by 54% to RUB 60.1 billion.
