Ruselectronics to start production of UPS devices

In 2021, Rostec State Corporation's Ruselectronics Holding together with Russia's Industry Development Fund will start serial production of uninterrupted power supply devices to ensure continuous operation of personal computers, data storage equipment, medical equipment, smart home systems and household appliances at short-term blackouts, Rostec informed.

Production will be built up at Ruselectronics Holding's Special Design and Technology Bureau for Relay Equipment benefiting from a concessional RUB 80 mn loan from the Industry Development Fund under the Conversion program.

Ruselectronics, the key player in the Russian radioelectronic market, was established 1997 and merged into Rostec Corporation in 2009, followed by the integration of United Instrument Manufacturing Corporation into the holding in 2017. The holding company currently accounts for more than 50% of the production of electronic components in Russia, 8% of the total output in the radioelectronic segment and more than 10% of the total employment in the industry. The holding unites more than 120  enterprises and research institutions specializing in the development and manufacture of radioelectronic components and technology solutions, communication media and systems, automated control systems, robotic systems, microwave radio electronics, computer facilities and telecom equipment. With a total headcount of more than 70,000 people, the holding annually earns more than RUB 150 billion in revenues. The holding supplies its products to more than in 30 countries of Europe, Southeast Asia, Middle East, Africa and Latin America.
