Rusnano implements environmental projects with the support of ASI. This is stated in the company's message.
Thus, in Tikhvin, Leningrad region, the first eco—cluster will be created on the principle of "zero waste" - from collection and sorting to deep processing and production of final products. The project provides for the construction of a complex with a capacity of more than 40 thousand tons of recyclable waste per year.
The agreement on the establishment of the ecotechnology center was signed by JSC "ETHER" of the Rusnano Group and the administration of the Tikhvin district. The complex will recycle paper, plastic, rubber, food, glass and wood waste, and will also become a platform for environmental education and the introduction of separate collection systems using AI.
The initiative is being implemented within the framework of the cyclical economy model developed earlier by Rusnano Group and Sirius International Research Center. Financing will be provided through trust funds, and it is also planned to attract investments through the CFA.
As part of the second eco-technology area, Rusnano Group is launching pilot projects to extract useful components from landfills and create prototypes of plants for processing hazardous waste. The pilots are being launched jointly with waste management companies, regional authorities and investors with the support of the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.

Rusnano promotes the implementation of government policy on the development of the nanoindustry by acting as a co-investor in nanotechnology projects with significant economic or social potential.
Rusnano's RAS net profit for 2024 amounted to 2.2 billion rubles against a loss of 8.8 billion rubles a year earlier. Revenue increased 3.5 times to 8.38 billion rubles from 2.37 billion rubles. Gross profit amounted to 3.446 billion rubles against a loss of 2.07 billion rubles.
