From January to June 2025, Russia increased exports of cheeses and cottage cheese by 20% to $70 million compared to the same period in 2024. In physical terms, the volume of supplies amounted to 14 thousand tons, Agroexport reported.
Exports of young cheeses increased by 33% to $33 million. Also, the supply of processed cheeses increased by 16% year-on-year to $25 million. Exports of these products to Kazakhstan increased by 15%, to Belarus — by 39%. In addition, over 143 tons of cheeses and cottage cheese were shipped to Mongolia, 57 tons to China, 14 tons to the UAE, 7 tons to Serbia, and 5 tons to Turkey.
The potential of Russian cheese exports by 2030 is estimated at over $180 million. The promising areas include the countries of East and Southeast Asia, as well as the states of the Middle East.
