Russia's 10-month positive trade balance down 43% to $83.9 billion

The positive trade balance of Russia decreased by 43% to $83.9 billion, according to Russia's Federal Customs Service.

Russia's foreign trade turnover was $458.5 decreasing by 16.9%. In particular, exports decreased by 22.4% to $271.2 billion, imports by 7.4% to $187.2 billion.

Fuel and energy products traditionally formed the backbone of exports from Russia (50.9% against 63% in January-October 2019. Machines and equipment contributed most to imports into Russia (47.1% in January-October 2020 against 45.9% in January-October 2019).
