Russia's international reserves increased by 0.8% from December 25 to January 1

From December 25, 2020 to January 1, 2021, the international reserves of the Russian Federation increased by $5 billion (+0.8%) to $597.4 billion on positive FX revaluation and higher gold prices, as well as foreign currency-denominated inflows from residents under currency swap transactions, according to information from the Bank of Russia.

As of January 8, the international reserves of the Russian Federation remained virtually flat compared with January 1.
