Russia's Ministry of Economic Development has proposed extending the moratorium on scheduled inspections of small businesses until the end of 2021. The proposals is included in the draft satellite law prepared by the Ministry of Economic Development accompanying the law "On state control (supervision) and municipal control in the Russian Federation". The document provides for the extension of the moratorium on checks of small businesses for the whole 2021, the Ministry informed.

This March, the Government announced a moratorium on scheduled checks. Besides, the grounds for unscheduled checks were limited substantially. This has notably eased control and inspection pressure: the number of checks in the first half of 2020 dropped by 46% year-on-year.
