From July 17 to 24, 2020, the monetary base in Russia decreased by RUB 56.5 billion (-0.4%) to RUB 13,025.7 billion, the CBR External & PR Department informed.
The monetary base (narrow definition) consists of the cash money issued by the Bank of Russia (including cash in vaults of credit institutions) and required reserves balances on ruble deposits with the Bank of Russia.
