Russian airlines' passenger flow down 46% in 2020

In 2020, the passenger flow of Russian air carriers decreased by 46% year-on-year to 69.17 thousand, Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency informed.

The passenger flow of Aeroflot decreased by 61% to 14.6 million passenger-kilometers, the passenger flow of Pobeda by 12% to 9.1 million, the passenger flow of Rossiya airliners by 51% to 5.7 million. The number of passengers served by S7 airlines decreased by 31% to 12.3 million (as compared to the combined results of S7 Airlines companies, Siberia Airlines and Globus, in 2019).

In December 2020, Russian airlines carried more than 5 million passengers (-43% YoY). In particular, Aeroflot's passenger traffic decreased by 63% to 1.02 million, the number of passengers served by Pobeda by 4% to 856.8 thousand, the passenger flow of Rossiya airlines by 43% to 324.8 thousand, the number of passengers of Ural Airlines by 56% to 287.3 thousand.
