In 2024, Russia supplied almost $300 million worth of wheat and rye flour to foreign markets. Compared to 2023, exports increased by 3% in value terms and by 7% in physical terms. This was reported by Agroexport.

Afghanistan has become the largest buyer of domestic flour. Flour worth $80 million was supplied to the Central Asian country, which is 2 times more than a year earlier. China is also among the top 3 importers of Russian wheat flour. Turkmenistan ranks third.

The key sales areas are China and the markets of neighboring countries, which are characterized by a steady demand for Russian products. A number of other Asian countries, the Persian Gulf States and Africa are also promising export destinations.

According to Agroexport estimates, by 2030, Russian exports of wheat and wheat-rye flour may exceed $440 million.
