Russian Government may impose quota on grain exports and export duty on wheat

A draft decree on imposing a quota of 17.5 million tonnes on grain exports with effect from February 15 to June 30, 2021 has been submitted to the Government of the Russian Federation. This was stated by Russia's Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov during Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin's briefing with deputy Prime Ministers, according to a transcript published on the Government's website.

Besides, a draft decree on imposing an export duty of 25 euros within the quota and 50% (at least EUR 100) in excess of the quota has been submitted. It is proposed that the duties be effective from February 15 to June 30, 2021.
