Russian nuclear power plants increased electricity generation by 1.55 in the first half of the year%

Nuclear power plants in Russia (branches of Rosenergoatom Concern, Rosatom's Electric Power Division) increased electricity generation by 1.55% in the six months of 2022 compared to the same period of the previous year. This is stated in the message of the Rosenergoatom Concern.

Production during this period amounted to over 112.1 billion kilowatt-hours or 103.58% of the balance sheet task of the FAS of Russia. Thus, almost 3.88 billion kWh has been generated in excess of the FAS balance sheet since the beginning of the year.

The work of all Russian nuclear power plants for six months allowed to prevent greenhouse gas emissions into the atmospheric air in the amount of almost 55 million tons of CO2 equivalent.

Production for the month of June amounted to almost 16 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity (as of July 1, 2022). The share of electricity generation by nuclear power plants in Russia is about 19%.
