Russian Post to spend almost RUB 1.5 billion on more automated parcel terminals

Russian Post is expanding the its network of post offices, the company informed referring to a decision taken by the company's Board of Directors at the recent meeting on August 3.

To recap, Russian Post rolled out a network of 1,000 partner pick-up points and 1,000 automated parcel terminals in 2019. The company will now expand its own network of automated parcel terminals to 5,000 lease purchased machines. Russian Post will spend RUB 1.4 billion on this project.

JSC Russian Post is a digital postal and logistics services provider, one of the largest employers in Russia with a headcount of 350,000 employees. Russian Post is on the list of strategic companies. Its regional network includes about 42,000 post offices throughout the country. The company annually processes about 3.5 billion postal items annually. Russian Post provides people with postal, social, financial and digital services.

Net profit of Russian Post for 2019 increased by 14% year-on-year to RUB 3.01 billion. Revenue increased by 9% to RUB 206.9 billion, EBITDA by 27% to RUB 19.4 billion.
