Russian retailers have started self-processing the old packaging film into a new one. This is reported on the REO website.
For example, Leman PRO and Van Market Trading House presented the first closed-loop packaging film recycling project in Russian retail. During the first year of the project, 2.4 thousand volumes of film were recycled from stores and warehouses in Moscow and the Moscow region into 450 thousand packages of new products.
The plastic packaging film used in Leman PRO stores and warehouses is assembled, sorted, cleaned and recycled, turning into granules from which new rolls of film are made.
Thus, the company has a new technical waterproofing film under its own trademark. At the same time, the cost of such secondary products is 50% lower than the analogues of films made from primary raw materials.
Lemana PRO (ex. Leroy Merlin) is a retail company specializing in the sale of goods for construction, decoration and furnishing of houses, cottages and gardens.
