Russian ruble real effective exchange rate down 0.4% in January-April

The real effective exchange rate of the Russian ruble decreased by 0.4% in January, the Bank of Russia informed.

In particular, the ruble lost 1.9% against the US dollar, gained 0.2% vs. the euro.

In April alone, the real effective exchange rate of the Russian ruble declined by 1.6% year-on-year. The real exchange rate of the Russian ruble declined 2.2% against the US dollar, 2.3% vs. the euro.
