The Sub-Commission of the Government Commission for Monitoring the Implementation of Foreign Investments allowed resident individuals to transfer funds in foreign currency received from non-residents in securities transactions to their accounts opened in foreign banks and other financial market organizations. This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation.
Investors are also allowed to transfer funds to their foreign accounts received from the repayment of securities held by a foreign depository, a foreign bank or another foreign financial market organization. These organizations keep records of the rights to securities and their storage outside the territory of the Russian Federation.
The relevant permission of the sub-commission is valid from June 17, 2022 without time limit.
