S7 Group, United Aircraft Corporation (part of Rostec Group of Companies) and STLC have signed a trilateral memorandum of cooperation. This is stated in the message of the parties.
The document develops the agreements of 2024 and confirms the intention of the parties to supply 100 medium-range Tu-214 aircraft, including aircraft with enhanced performance characteristics adapted to the operating model of S7 Airlines.
According to the document, by the end of 2026, the parties plan to sign agreements defining the terms, volumes and other essential terms of the transaction.
The Memorandum records the progress achieved over the past period. Thus, within the framework of the joint working groups of S7 Group and UAC, they determined the technical appearance of the Tu-214, the necessary improvements to the operational documentation, as well as the layout of the cabin, which will accommodate up to 213 passengers.
GTLK will act as a financial partner and customer in the project, responsible for organizing the financing and supply of new airliners.
The full cycle of aircraft operation will be provided by S7 Group companies: the S7 Technics engineering center will become an authorized partner for the maintenance of a new type of aircraft, and the S7 Training training center will provide a full cycle of training for flight crews and ground personnel.
To coordinate all the details of the project, the parties agreed to continue intensive work in specialized working groups. The focus is on the economics of operation, the maintenance program, the configuration of on—board systems, as well as the financial and contractual supply model.
The parties are focused on the start of deliveries of production aircraft from 2029 and will continue to work within the framework of working groups to agree on the final terms of contracts.
