The total wage arrears in the Russian Federation as of August 1, 2022 amounted to 732.1 million rubles, having decreased by 8.7% over the month. This is reported by Rosstat.
Of the total amount of unpaid wages, debts incurred in 2022 account for 259.8 million rubles. or 35.5%, in 2021 – 136.3 million rubles (18.6%), in 2020 and earlier - 336 million rubles (45.9%).
The number of employees to whom there was debt was distributed as follows: manufacturing – 43.9%; construction – 14.3%; agriculture, hunting and provision of services in these areas; logging – 11.3%; mining – 8.5%; water supply; sanitation, waste collection and disposal, activities to eliminate pollution – 8.4%; transport – 6.3%.
