Sberbank's clients have allocated 1 billion rubles to the model portfolios of the long-term life insurance program "Managed Capital" from Sberbank Life Insurance, launched in June 2022. 62% of investors chose the "ESG Balanced Average Risk" strategy. This is stated in the Sbera report.
Managed Capital combines the advantages of insurance and investment products. The client draws up a long-term life insurance policy, chooses a strategy and places capital in it. The insurer manages the portfolio and allocates conditional shares (units) in it to the insured, depending on the size of the contribution and the cost (quotation) of the unit. The income is generated by changing the unit quotation, which is determined by the dynamics of the instruments included in the portfolio. After a year, the client will be able to change the strategy quarterly, as well as partially withdraw the earned funds or deposit additional ones.
Sberbank Life Insurance offers three ruble portfolios with varying degrees of risk — from conservative to moderately aggressive.
25% of policyholders under the Managed Capital program invested in the conservative ESG Balanced portfolio, investing a total of 250 million rubles. The strategy includes 70-95% of bonds and 5-15% of shares.
62% of investors chose the strategy "ESG Balanced average risk", having allocated 540 million rubles to it. The portfolio structure is 50-80% bonds and 20-40% shares.
The choice in favor of the aggressive strategy "ESG Balanced high risk" was made by 13% of investors, having invested 210 million rubles. The portfolio structure is 15-35% of bonds and 65-85% of shares.
The minimum contribution under the Managed Capital program is 1.5 million rubles. The contract is conditionally indefinite (until the insured reaches 120 years of age) and depends on the age of the client at the time of conclusion of the contract. You can track the composition, dynamics and value of the selected portfolio on the Sberbank Life Insurance website, as well as in SberBank Online.
