Severstal increased 3-month IFRS net profit 10 times in 2021

Severstal's IFRS net profit for 1Q21 increased 10 times to $721 million, according to the company's financial statements.

Revenue increased by 27.5% to $2.22 billion, EBITDA 2.1 times to $1.16 billion, EBITDA margin to 52.4% from 31.9% a year earlier.

PAO Severstal is one of the world's largest vertically integrated steel and mining companies with assets in Russia, Latvia and Poland. The company's shares are listed on the Moscow Exchange in Russia, its global depositary receipts are listed on the London Stock Exchange. In 2020, the company earned $6,870 million in revenue, EBITDA reached $2,422 million. The company produced 11.3 million tonnes of steel in 2019.
