Since the beginning of the year, 822.8 thousand tons of vegetables and greens have already been collected in winter greenhouses. This is 5.6% more than a year earlier. Including: cucumbers – 497.4 thousand tons (+3.4%), tomatoes – 308.7 thousand tons (+9.1%). This was reported by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia.
The development of greenhouse vegetable growing continues in the country with the help of state support. For example, enterprises can receive preferential investment loans and "incentive" subsidies. In addition, since this year, there has been a mechanism for compensating part of the costs of building greenhouses in the Far East.
