Starting from January 1, 2027, the Bank of Russia will publish information on the ownership structure of financial organizations, but using a set of criteria in an impersonal form. The relevant instruction of the Central Bank was registered by the Ministry of Justice, according to the regulator's website.
The updated format will address the disclosure of information about banks, NPFs, insurance and management companies, as well as MFIs.
Disclosure will take place according to 14 criteria: it is planned to publish a list of facts characterizing the participants in the ownership structure, information about whether orders were sent because of their unsatisfactory business reputation or financial situation, and so on.
Additional burden on market participants is not expected, since the Central Bank will independently form the structure in an impersonal form, taking into account the position of the financial institution.
