Svetogorsk Pulp and Paper Mill completed a planned production shutdown to modernize its equipment. This is stated in the company's message.
The plant, located in the Leningrad region, is a manufacturer of SvetoCopy, Ballet, offset office paper, cardboard, chemical and thermomechanical pulp (HTMM) and bleached HTMM.
As part of the shutdown, seven investment projects were implemented at the Central Bank's key production facilities, including two paper machines (BDM-1 and BDM-4), a co-generation boiler (SRK-3) and the production of sulfate pulp (SAC-2). Thanks to the work performed, the reliability of production, safety at the plant and the stability of the quality of its products have increased.
In 25 days, over 1.7 thousand works were carried out to upgrade the equipment and enhance its reliability, more than 5 thousand items of various materials and spare parts were replaced. About 110 tanks were inspected, 68 cleanings were carried out, and 56 industrial safety examinations were conducted.
The main projects for the renovation of Svetogorsk Pulp and Paper Mill production were the modernization of two paper machines, including the installation of an automatic diagnostic system, the repair of IBS and the installation of new equipment for the production of sulfate pulp.
As part of the shutdown in 2025, Svetotekhservice, an enterprise that is part of the same group of companies as Svetogorsky CBK, became the key contractor of the plant.
Svetogorsky CBK's activities are based on the production and sale of office and offset paper, chemical and thermomechanical pulp, cardboard for packaging liquid food products and other types of cardboard.
Svetogorsk Pulp and Paper Mill was founded in 1887 in the city of Svetogorsk, Leningrad region. Over the past twenty years, the plant has produced over 6 million tons of office paper, including brands such as SvetoCopy and Ballet.
The net profit of NPAO Svetogorsky CBK according to RAS for 2024 remained at the level of the previous year and amounted to 5.9 billion rubles. Revenue fell by 3.3% to 46.32 billion rubles from 47.89 billion rubles.
