Swedish EQT plans to sell stake in German IT company Thinkproject

The Swedish investment company EQT AB is considering the possibility of selling a stake in the German IT company Thinkproject GmbH. This is reported by foreign media.

EQT has engaged Arma Partners LLP to assess investors' interest in acquiring shares in Thinkproject, which could be valued at 1.5 billion euros ($1.8 billion) under the deal.

EQT acquired a stake in Thinkproject from TA Associates in 2020. Negotiations are ongoing and do not guarantee the conclusion of a final agreement.

Private investment companies are interested in acquiring SaaS providers, taking into account a loyal customer base that provides stable income. Thinkproject's clients include more than 3,000 companies, including the German automaker Audi, the French company Électricité de France SA and the British company Network Rail.

EQT AB is a Swedish multinational private equity, infrastructure, real estate, and venture capital investment company in Europe, North America, and the Asia-Pacific region. The company manages assets worth 266 billion euros ($285 billion).

Thinkproject GmbH is a German software developer that helps companies in various sectors manage costs, contracts, assets, and other workflows. The headquarters is located in Munich (Germany).
