Tele2 launches Russia's first 5G zone in Kazan Metro

Tele2 and Nokia have jointly launched Russia's first 5G zone in the Kazan Metro, a key infrastructure facility, the operator informed.

Tele2 has completed the rollout of a test 5G network in the Kazan metro and made it available for users, with peak data transmission rates reaching 3,800 Mbps. Residents of Tatarstan can try out the technology by connecting to the network directly or via Wi-Fi points. The access to the 5G network is available at all Kazan Metro stations.
