The rating "R NTR 2" means that ROSSETI Lenenergo belongs to the class of industrial companies with high scientific and technical potential. The rating was assigned based on the "Methodology for determining the rating of scientific and technological development of the largest Russian companies" dated January 27, 2026.
The Agency notes a positive contribution to the development of research and development activities (R&D) as factors supporting the rating. Innovation activities are regulated and monitored by the Board of Directors of the Company. The Company has approved the Program of Innovative Development of PJSC ROSSETI Lenenergo for 2024-2029 with a view to 2035. The stability and consistency of innovation activities is confirmed by the steady increase in R&D costs over the past three years.
The main research areas are aimed at ensuring the reliability and trouble-free operation of the equipment. Among the priority projects are the transition to highly automated substations, the development of a distributed intelligent automation and network management system. In total, the company implements five areas of R&D. Scientific organizations and scientific departments of the country's leading universities are involved in their implementation. In 2025, ROSSETI Lenenergo received four security certificates for the results of intellectual activity, including one patent for a utility model for continuous insulation monitoring of equipment of open switchgear.
The consistent solution of the tasks set became possible thanks to the continuous monitoring of the implementation of innovative projects carried out by the Coordinating Council for the Development of Innovative Activities of ROSSETI Lenenergo.
The scientific and technological development rating was assigned based on the methodology adopted by the AK&M Rating Agency.
The first rating of scientific and technological development based on the results of 2024 was published in January 2026. The aim of the project is to evaluate the scientific and technical activities of the largest companies and, thereby, draw public attention to the contribution of large corporations to the innovative development of the country.
