The budget surplus by the end of 2021 amounted to about 525 billion rubles. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin spoke about the execution of the federal budget in 2021, the Cabinet of Ministers reports.
By the end of the year, budget revenues exceeded the planned level by almost 35% and amounted to more than 25 trillion rubles. At the same time, positive dynamics was noted both in oil and gas revenues and in areas not related to the sale of hydrocarbon raw materials.
"Despite the fact that solving large-scale tasks required significant expenditures, the budget was balanced, all social obligations were fulfilled with greater targeting of assistance, services and benefits. New, additional support measures have also been implemented promptly," M. Mishustin stressed.
In 2021, the government actively used budget funds: to support citizens and businesses, to overcome the economic and social consequences of the pandemic, to implement measures for national development goals.
