The Russian government has abolished the export duty on coking coal from December 1, 2024. The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
The moratorium on export duties on anthracite and thermal coal has been extended until the end of 2024.
Starting from January 1, 2025, duties on anthracite, coking and thermal coal will cease to apply.
Flexible export duties on the export of anthracite, power and coking coal were in effect from October 1, 2023, and then for anthracite and power coal they were suspended from May 1 to November 30, 2024.
