The Government of the Russian Federation has allowed the production, import and circulation of gasoline of environmental classes K2, K3 and K4 (Euro 2, Euro 3, Euro 4) until July 1, 2027. The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, according to the Ministry of Energy.
The resolution invalidates an earlier decision that allowed the circulation of K5 class gasoline with a high sulfur content until the end of 2026.
Information about the ecological class of the fuel supplied should be reflected at gas stations.
The resolution is aimed at ensuring a stable supply of automotive fuel to the domestic market and preventing possible shortages in the face of changing logistics chains, technological constraints and the need to maintain uninterrupted operation of the fuel market, the Ministry of Energy emphasizes.
