The Government of the Russian Federation has approved an action plan for the implementation of a strategy to combat illegal trafficking in industrial products. The corresponding order was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

The plan is designed for a period up to 2025. It is planned to improve legislation aimed at countering the illegal turnover of industrial products. Among other things, we are talking about tightening responsibility for the production, storage, processing and sale of counterfeit goods. It provides for the harmonization of domestic legislation in the field of combating illicit trafficking in industrial products with the legislation of other member states of the Eurasian Economic Union.

In order to combat counterfeiting, it is planned, in particular, to focus on the development of a traceability system for goods, to prepare proposals for the development of a set of measures to reduce the share of counterfeit goods in specific industries, to work out the feasibility of creating a database of unscrupulous manufacturers, importers, suppliers and sellers of such products.

The strategy to counteract the illegal turnover of industrial products until 2025 was approved by the Government in February 2021. Among the priority sectors for monitoring, it indicates such industries as chemical, electronic, food and light industry, pharmaceuticals, automotive, agricultural engineering, folk arts and crafts.
