The Cabinet of Ministers approved the construction of a new section of the Central Ring Road

The Russian government has approved the construction of a new section of the Central Ring Road. The necessary changes have been made to the passport of the CCAD investment project, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers said.

In the Odintsovo district of the Moscow region in 2022, the construction of a new section will begin – the bypass of the village of Malye Vyazemy. The project cost is 10.9 billion rubles. The travel time in the Mozhaisk highway area after the opening of the new section should be reduced 7.5 times to 8 minutes from 1 hour.

The new section will be four-lane. Its total length will be 4 km. Overpasses will be erected on the site through the Smolensk railway and inside the Small Vyazemka, a bridge over the Bolshaya Vyazemka River, a tunnel under the main course of the Central Ring Road, as well as noise screens. The construction is planned to be completed in 2024.
